# Mirror Merchant Overview

{% hint style="info" %}
📌 **Important Notice**: This section is exclusively intended for merchants who have transitioned from the DS/FbAY model to the marketplace model via the mirror approach and continue to manage their products and prices using SCAYLE. This area serves as your source of truth for relevant guidelines and updates.

## ABOUT YOU Marketplace Model Overview

The ABOUT YOU Marketplace enables fashion brands and retailers to sell directly to millions of customers across Europe. By leveraging our established online platform, merchants expand their international reach while ABOUT YOU handles customer transactions and payment processing via SCAYLE Payments.

**How the Technical & Operational Flow Works**

* **Catalog & Data Sync:** Merchants connect their catalog to ABOUT YOU via their middleware, seamlessly transmitting all product data, inventory, and pricing.
* **Order Processing:** When a customer places an order, ABOUT YOU processes the payment and automatically routes order details to the merchant through the same interface.
* **Fulfillment & Returns:** Merchants handle warehousing, packing, and direct-to-customer shipping. Customer returns are processed directly back to the merchant's warehouse.
* **Settlements:** Payments are collected by ABOUT YOU via SCAYLE Payments, with payouts disbursed to merchants on a predictable monthly schedule.

This end-to-end setup ensures a streamlined partnership—allowing merchants to focus on product selection while ABOUT YOU powers the platform infrastructure and payment operations.

Welcome to your Transition Guide!

As you transition to the marketplace model, your core daily workflow remains completely unchanged—you will continue to manage and steer your products directly in SCAYLE, just as you did before.

However, this transition introduces a few important changes, most notably your full price sovereignty and complete control over price steering. Because you do not yet have direct access to the Seller Center, standard Seller Center documentation does not apply to you. This dedicated guide serves as your single source of truth, detailing the key processes—from price updates to product mapping—that are managed differently for mirror merchants.<br>

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.partner.aboutyou.com/mirror-merchant-overview.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
