# Product Attributes

## Usage and benefits of product attributes

1. Usage for virtual categories Example: Category “Jeans” and attribute Lower Part-Length “Short/Mini” will show the product in our virtual category “Jeans Shorts”.
2. Usage for Filters Example: Attribute Upper Part-Length: ”long” will show the product to customers who are filtering for “Long Tops”.
3. For our Shop-Search Example: Attributegroup Neckline: “Henley” will show the products, if the customer is searching for button placket.
4. Important information regarding the mapping of attributes for AY The attribute value **“Further / No specification”** should only be chosen, if really no other specific value is matching for this product. Without a specific attribute value, the products are more difficult to find for the customers.

**-> Every attribute must be mapped specifically and correctly, for the best possible product presentation.**

## Master (Product Level)

* **Product title:** the own product name (if existing) in high quotation marks. Example: ‘Lea’ -> no descriptive terms in the product title
* **Product Category:** Always mapp the deepest possible category
* **Brand**
* **Material style:** Very important, because it will be used for the material filtering in our Shop. Please only choose the main part of the material.
* **Multi-Pack:** Only choose >1, if the same kind of product will be sold. -> If there different kinds of products included (e.g. Top & Shorts) we add the information as a “Set”.

## Pattern

It is very important that the correct pattern is selected. Otherwise, the product will be rejected. The pattern which is mapped should always display the main part of the product, as it is used for our filtering. Here are a few examples:
